The public lighting market is in a state of flux. Partly due to the SER Energy Agreement, the focus has shifted to sustainability and reducing CO2 emissions. To achieve this, many innovative solutions have already been developed, such as (dynamic) dimming or even switching off the lighting. This requires more and more specific knowledge to make the right choices, without neglecting social and/or traffic safety. Thanks to years of experience in the public lighting market, Nedelko is the obvious party to solve all your LED issues responsibly.In September 2013, more than 40 organisations concluded the Energy Agreement for Sustainable Growth. The Energy Agreement contains agreements on energy saving, clean technology and climate policy. The Energy Agreement also contains targets for public lighting (OVL).

In 2020, 40% of public lighting must be energy-efficient and equipped with smart energy management in order to meet the target of saving 20% (in 2020) and 50% (in 2030) of energy respectively. Meanwhile, in cooperation with several municipalities, we have realised successful projects which have not only resulted in 70% lower energy consumption, but also contributed to more light comfort and improved traffic safety. A good inventory, respect for the current situation and a thorough lighting plan were the basis for these successful projects.
