Freeze-protected safety showers are specially designed for use in unheated spaces, outdoor environments and cold stores where standard safety showers would freeze. They guarantee an immediately operational safety shower even at temperatures down to -25°C or lower, ensuring adequate first aid is always available in the event of an incident.
The thermally insulated system prevents freezing of pipes and showerhead without requiring permanent heating.
Technical features of freeze-protected safety showers
Freeze-protected safety showers use a self-draining valve or thermally insulated pipes that are only filled with water when activated. This prevents freezing when inactive. They are compliant with EN 15154 and deliver the required water flow for effective body rinsing.
